The innovative Rode Stereo VideoMic Pro Rycote On-Camera Microphone delivers a high value stereo option for videographers, as well as being great for recording music and the distinctive ambiance, crucial in structuring an accurate audio scene.
Constructed around the all new capsule with its coordinated pair of high sensitivity ½”cardioid condensers in a coincident XY pair, the Rode Stereo VideoMic Pro Rycote On-Camera Microphone delivers a wide stereo image with natural depth.
One more new addition is the unified Rycote® Lyre® based shock mounting system, which splits the Stereo VideoMic Pro capsule and electronics from its mount, delivering separation from exterior physical factors that may cause unwelcome vibrations and rumble in the mic. Made from a single piece of hard-wearing thermoplastic, the Lyre® affords greater acoustic suspension to traditional elastic solutions and will not snap, sag or wear out.
The Rode Stereo VideoMic Pro Rycote On-Camera Microphone, with its ergonomic form factor, makes it seamlessly suitable for large-sensor video cameras, consumer camcorders and DSLRs.
The newly designed Kevlar strengthened braided cable, as well as the enhanced foam windscreen, affords outstanding acoustic decoupling from the camera and gives you meaningfully lower noise transference and higher sensitivity.
The easy to use rear of the mic body gives you equalisation and power controls with a high pass filter at 75Hz which is intended to cut out the noise produced by traffic, air conditioning and other unwelcome low frequency nosiness.
A -10dB PAD lets the user to decrease the sensitivity of the mic, making it appropriate for recording sources such as sporting events or live music concerts.
Similar the VideoMic Pro, the Stereo VideoMic Pro features a +20dB level boost precisely intended to deliver a higher value signal with DSLR cameras. When initiated, the archetypally low value camera preamp level can be abridged, resulting in a much clearer recording and a lower noise floor.
