The EF-S 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5 USM is compact and lightweight, yet robust and solidly built, making it easy to carry and comfortable to handle. Featuring a ring-type USM, it is fast to focus and allows you to track subjects with ease. Flare can often be an issue with ultra wide angle lenses, however, the 10-22 keeps flare – and chromatic aberration and distortion – well under control. It is also impressively sharp wide open over the entire focal length range and provides excellent depth of field and great background blur.
As an ultra wide angle lens, the EF-S 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5 USM offers a wider field of view than most general purpose lenses, letting you push out the edges of each frame to capture even more of your subject. This makes it a superb landscape lens, capturing sweeping panoramas in a wide angle for a beautifully dramatic effect.
