The EF 200-400mm f4L IS USM features a fast, quiet and incredibly accurate autofocus and 4-stop image stabilisation, making it one of the more popular wildlife and sport photography lenses, however, it’s also commonly used for landscape and aviation photography. Distortion, chromatic aberration and vignetting are all extremely well controlled, helping you to create stunningly detailed, crisp images packed with colour.

Offering an extended zoom range at the flick of a switch, the EF 200-400mm f4L IS USM Extender 1.4X is the ideal choice for sports and wildlife photographers. Offering L-series build quality, the EF 200-400mm f4L IS USM extender lens delivers professional grade images and an excellent focal range. With its built-in extender, you can easily extend the focal range of your shot without changing lenses.

The built-in 1.4x extender allows you to instantly extend your reach to 280-560mm (or 448-896mm equivalent with APS-C cameras) simply by flipping the left-hand switch. Since the extender is integrated within the lens housing, it is optically matched to the lens for improved imaging performance and also fully maintains the lens’s weather sealing.
