For Clients In North America
The UWP-D16/30 and UWP-D16/42 models function in slices of the 617-652 MHz or 663-698 MHz frequencies.
As of 2017, these frequencies are being transitioned by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to the 600 MHz facility to meet growing demand for wireless broadband services.
Operators of these models are required to terminate functioning on these frequencies no later than July 13, 2020.
In addition, operators may be obliged to conclude operations earlier than that date if their operations might cause damaging interference to a 600 MHz service licensee’s wireless operations on these frequencies.
For additional info, contact the FCC.
For clients in Canada, please refer to the ISED’s Spectrum Advisory Bulletin for current info connected to the 600 MHz band changeover.
Features
Adjustable Output Level On A Transportable Receiver
The structure offers adjustable output level control of ±12dB, for usage with the numerous input levels of camcorders and DSLR cameras.
Line Input Offered
The UWP-D Series wireless microphone system has line input presented for extra flexibility.
Strong Metal Body
The UTX-B03 wireless mic belt-pack transmitter, UTX-P03 plug-on transmitter and URX-P03 transportable receiver are made of robust, tough metal. The metal structure supports dependable usage in rough working situations.
USB For Exterior Power Supply Or Charging Batteries
The UWP-D series cordless microphone mechanisms have a micro USB terminal (except handheld receiver UTX-M030) for linking to USB exterior transportable power sources, permitting the unit to be powered by the camcorder throughout usage, resulting in hassle free power. You can also load NiMh batteries into the belt-pack to be charged through the micro USB.
Headphone Output For Monitoring
The UWP-D wireless microphone system delivers its own headphone output socket which is very beneficial when working with a camera that does not have a headphone output.
Compatibility With Other Sony Analogue Audio Receivers
The UWP-D Series wireless microphone transmitters and receivers let users shift among different companding modes as they are also compatible with;
- Sony WL-800 Series
- Sony UWP Series
- Sony Freedom Series
Accurate Diversity Reception System
The UWP-D wireless microphone system accomplishes a very steady audio signal being carried from two independent receiver segments within the unit. Optimal signal quality is distributed by the two receiver segments and a comparison circuit continuously pulls the one with the best signal to give dropout free transmission.
Extensive Frequency Coverage
The additional widespread switching bandwidth covers an extensive area with a varied choice of channels accessible across multiple models – please refer to product specifications for more info.
Programmed Channel Setting Mode
The Auto Set channel mode lets you discover and set accessible frequencies to use within the working frequencies of the system. The receiver will robotically set the transmitter channel using the IR Sync feature.
Quick And Simple Channel Scan
With its Clear Channel Scan, Active Channel Scan function and IR Sync features, the wireless mic system senses vacant channels and picks the most suitable channel robotically for quick and simple system setup.
Big Display And Small Size Receiver
The URX-P03 cordless microphone portable receiver is intended to fit even small camcorders or DSLR cameras, with dimensions of 63mm x 82mm x 23.8mm (W x H x D); and a weight of approx. 176 g (including batteries).
The transmitters and receivers also feature a bright 11.5mm x 27.8mm display, significantly bigger than previous UWP models to make them effortlessly readable in all circumstances.
UWP-D Digital Audio Processing
The UWP-D Series wireless microphone systems uses Sony Digital Audio Processing to advance sound quality and transient response performance compared to standard analogue wireless systems. It delivers excellent transient response performance. Analogue companding systems can’t accurately replicate sounds such as a bell, tee shot or handclaps, but Sony Digital Audio Processing replicates them authentically.
