The Samyang 8mm fisheye T3.8 VDSLR UMC II is a great lens for shooting video with your DSLR camera.
It is designed to shoot with APS-C image sensors, for which it provides full frame coverage, creating an expanded perspective that covers the entire frame.
For DSLR’s with a full frame sensor, this lens will produce pictures with a semi-circular image and close-ups will appear proportionately large for a dramatic effect.
Its de-clicked aperture range runs from T/3.8 to T/22, providing a smooth & silent shooting.
Toothed focusing, aperture rings and bright, white numbering make controlling your image all the easier.
Its optics comprise of 10 lens elements arranged in 7 groups.
The product’s optical parameters are extremely high, thanks to the hybrid aspherical element and multi-layered anti-reflection UMC coatings.
Features
The lens provides a diagonal field of view equal to 180 degrees, while the minimum focusing distance is only 0.3 meters.
The lens is fitted with a removable lens hood. The brightness of the lens corresponds with the T-number of 3.8.
To facilitate the reading on the focus and aperture scale, both these indexes are marked in a parallel position to the optical axis of the lens.
