Samyang 85mm T1.5 VDSLR AS IF UMC II is carefully designed for professional film and video works so the focus gear ring is installed for follow focus system.

You may change the aperture quietly and smoothly with the uncoupled aperture gear ring.

Also, distance scale and T numbers are marked on both sides of the lens for convenience.

Optical Features

This lens features 9 lenses in 7 groups, including hybrid aspherical lens (H-ASP).

H-ASP lens minimises colour aberration and realise a remarkable image quality and high contrast for center and corner of the image even when the aperture is fully opened.

The length of the lens does not change when focusing. Ultra Multi Coating (UMC) technology optimises the light penetration and minimises flare and ghost.

The 8 aperture blades are designed to be almost as a full circle when the aperture is closed which expresses starlike ray clearly.

Hardware Features

Samyang features a compact frame since it is made of high-strength aluminum so the images can be captured even under lower environment.

The attached petal-shaped lens hood protects the lens from unnecessary lights.
